Step 1

Attach the MADett adapter to the endotracheal tube and resume ventilation.
.

Step 3

Once the mark is aligned, tighten the lock nut to hold the tube in place.

Step 5

Briskly compress syringe while simultaneously bagging the patient to drive atomized mist deeply into the lungs.

Step 2

Slide the MADett catheter into the ETT until the black mark lines up with the 26 cm mark on the ETT.

Step 4

Attach syringe of medication to the MADett via the luer lock attachment.

Indications for Use

1. To establish a path by which to inject medication into the lungs of a patient who is being ventilated through an intubated airway.

2. To establish a means by which to introduce medication into an intubated airway without interrupting the flow of life-supporting ventilation to the patient

Contraindications

Do not use with an endotracheal tube that is smaller than a 7.0 mm i.d. or shorter than 28 cm.
