Wound Care

Just like we were taught by our mothers – washing out an abrasion or laceration and keeping it clean is the primary infection control procedure for any wound. Despite all the fancy new treatments, dressings, suction therapies and antibiotic embedded gauze – good cleansing (and good handwashing prior to cleansing) with plenty of fluid volume remains the mainstay of wound care.

The Canyons wound irrigation system fulfills this need. It provides a simple, effective method to rapidly and thoroughly irrigate wounds until they are clean. Designed to provide adequate irrigation pressures for simple debridement cleansing (4 to 15 psi) without damaging the tissue, the Canyons irrigation system is an ideal product for cleansing both acute traumatic wounds, as well as chronic wounds that are healing by secondary intention and simply need irrigation to reduce wound bacterial counts.
